MT exports closed 2022 with revenue above US$ 32 billion. The balance of trade reached US$ 26.59 billion and ended the year as the largest in Brazil.
The agricultural sector represented 90% of exports in 2022.
MT ended 2020 with the highest revenue in the country in the export of agribusiness. The soy complex (grain, oil, and bran) was the main product on the list: US$ 35.24 billion and 101.04 million tons.

CORN: The Mato-Grossense Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea) maintained its estimate of corn production in the state in the 2021/22 harvest at 39.57 million tons. Mato Grosso is the leader in producing corn.
Mato Grosso has 230,000 planted hectares of eucalyptus and 65,000 of teak. (2014 Imea).
Mato Gross has 35 municipalities in the "List of 100 richest in Brazil Agribusiness".
