Perdigão To Open New Plants
17 August 07 A total of R$380 million (US$ 140 million) was invested in two plants in
Mato Grosso - a chicken plant, Mary Loise, in Nova Mutum previously
purchased and renovated by Perdigão and a beef packing plant in Mirassol D’Oeste.

Bunge Foods Opens New Plant
in Nova Mutum 17

Governor
Blairo Maggi will participate in the opening ceremonies of the
industrial complex of Bunge Alimentos along with Sérgio
Waldrich, President Bunge Brasil, and the Mayor, Mr. Lírio
Lautenschalger. The plant is designed to process soybeans, degummed
oil and meal for domestic and foreign markets. This will be the
company's second largest plant in Brazil and first in the area of
extraction in a single line. It is the 28th unit in Mato Grosso.
The factory was built in 14 months,
has 34 thousand square meters of built area on 200 hectares and
should generate 100 direct jobs. The annual capacity is 1.3 million
MT of soybeans, with a storage silo for 100 tons of grain. Bunge
