TESTIMONIAL:
"I met
up with Kory at the airport in Cuiaba, got in the
shuttle van, and the trip began (or as Kory says,
'Welcome to the Jungle'). Along the way you can
notice the significant developments being made in
Lucas do Rio Verde, in comparison to the other
neighboring towns. After the shuttle and a good
intro history lesson on the area by Kory, we arrived
in Lucas do Rio Verde.
Still very new to this town (Lucas) I didn't know
what was driving so much of the development, and was
eager to find out. Well, if there is any gringo that
can school you on what was and is currently making
this town 'tick', it's Kory Melby. An invaluable
resource to foreigners, Kory introduced me to
farmers, showed me farmland and their operations,
basically all the ins and outs of the town. Oh, and
of course, a great help on translating.
My tour was during 'Novemberfest' a Brazilian
rendition of Oktoberfest, so it gave the tour an
extra breath of excitement.
If
you're a interested or a bit curious in the way
agriculture is progressing down in Brazil, I highly
recommend going through Kory Melby. He's Americas
'Man on the Ground' over there in the big country of
Brazil, and on top of that, I'm sure you'll have a
great time touring with Kory and his people."
