The Assis Brasil Showground covers an area of 141 hectares and is
located in the city of
Esteio, RS, alongside roadway BR116. The grounds are the
headquarters of one of the largest and most important exhibition trade
fairs in the world, Expointer. Over a period of nine days, from August
27 to September 4, Rio Grande do Sul will show the world its exceptional
wealth, fruit of the hard work of its people. |

The Expodireto Event started
from a pilot project conducted on March 1999 by Plantio Direto Magazine
in partnership with Emater / RS, in the area of Rural Center of
Supplementary Education – CRES in Carazinho (RS). The purpose of the
event in its first edition was the creation and development of an area
where tillage and related technologies could be presented to the public.
After the first edition, the idea was presented by Plantio Direto
Magazine to the Cotrijal directors that, realizing the growth potential
of an event of this nature in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, gave a
sequence to the project. Since 2000, the event has been held in the
demonstration area of the cooperative, in Não-Me-Toque, with a different
direction and change of name to Expodireto Cotrijal. |
