peak export season (Feb-Mar)

rail, 3% via pipeline.
Connects
Santarém, PA to Cuiabá, Mato Grosso via 1,470 km BR-163, which pass
through the heart of the soybean producing area and the Amazon. The
highway is mostly unpaved or in poor condition. Once paved it will
lower freight cost significantly for grain producers.
