BR 158 route goes from
Santana do Livramento, in Rio Grande do Sul State on the border of
Uruguay to Altamira in Pará State. Not all of it is paved. Of the 800 km
that pass through
the State of Mato Grosso about 400 km is unpaved. This
unpaved section goes from Ribeirão Cascalheira to Pará State border of
which about 140 km is under construction. It is paved from the
Mato Grosso border to Rendenção, PA.
